Marvin- Thanks so much! No, it's not a custom theme (strictly speaking). Make Money Online Reality uses the Mandigo theme which is really awesome. Mostly because it's free, but also because for a coding noob like myself, it's super easy to customize. There's an interactive color wheel for changing most colors on the blog (not text or links, but backgrounds, border, etc), and the ReadMe file has step by step instructions on how to change the header. I used a free stock photo for the golden eggs, and then made the header myself in a cheapy photo editor. Great, great theme. The only one that's easier to customize (and looks more professional) is the Flexx theme. You have to pay for that one though. Thanks again!

Angie- You're right. If you're looking to use affiliate and advertising programs to get paid to blog, it's a lot of work and can take a lot of time to build up the traffic that you need. It definitely is a lot of work to get paid for blogging on your own! Really, blogging for other people can be just as difficult and you have to bend over backwards to please your client, but at least pay day comes a lot quicker!

There are a lot of ways to get paid to blog, and I really think the best way is to start a niche blog. However, if you're new to blogging, starting a niche blog is not an easy way to earn money online. I wrote this post (and most of the posts on this site) so that I could show people new to the idea of blogging for money how they can get started. And while there are a lot of great arguments against using programs like PPP, it certainly does teach you about using keywords, anchor text for links, and similar useful skills for those looking to earn passive income online.

Making money with blogging is not that easy. I started my website, fortunately got a pagerank of 2 within a month. But still tryin to build traffic. It needs hard work and lots and lots of patience.
